Rima Fauzi is a singer/songwriter based in Brussels, Belgium. She was born in Bandung on February 21st, year undisclosed. Although she had a late start in the music business as a result of years of endless studying, she finally started singing in 2002.
She had been in various bands, from The Netherlands based top 40 band “INDIGO”, occasional guest singer of the “Dave Wizzy Band” - formerly known as the Monday Justice band, the very short-lived “Backroom Boys plus 1 girl” and the Brussels-based funk band “Seven of Millions”.
She sings a wide variety of styles of music, and she is mainly influenced by the likes of Randy Crawford, Annie Lennox, Sarah Mclachlan and Stevie Wonder. She is a very versatile singer, able to sing a wide range of musical genres from jazz to pop, and from rock to funk. Beside the above-mentioned influences, she is also influenced musically by the likes of The Police, Queen, Genesis, Tears for Fears, Journey and progressive rock bands and artists from the 70s and 80s. This has given her an edge, an eclectic yet wide-range taste in music which sets her apart from her peers.
In 2006, she joined a band called “The Housepainters”. The Housepainters is a band founded by Belgian-Croatian musician-songwriter Ivan Nagels, and other members included pianist Ernst Vranckx and producer Oliver Adams of Praga Khan and Lords of Acid.
