I have yet to find male a Indonesian celeb who has had any work done, I’m sure there are, but for now, let’s look at what I have found which are two prominent Indonesian actresses and one Indonesian singer. All have had work done, although the singer insists her beauty is all natural – naturally done by plastic surgery that is.
Indonesian celeb #1: Peggy Melati Sukma.
Thank God she had plastic surgery!! All I can say is If I had her face, I would have done the same thing, maybe more! Although I don’t get how she can have work done on her eyes and a nose job, but feels the need to keep her mustache. Women should NOT have mustache, except if she works in a circus and makes money off it.
Indonesia celeb #2: Bella Saphira
With this girl, I don’t get why she had anything done. She obviously had a nose job, you can see the bridge of her nose is much thinner and she might have an implant on the tip of her nose to make it perkier. It looks like she had her eyes done as well, to make it appear bigger and brighter. She was lovely to begin with but after the surgery, she just looks very generic, like any other Indonesian celebs who’s had a nose job.
Indonesian celeb#3: Krisdayanti
This is a woman who clearly had a LOT of work done, yet she insists she has nothing done. Yes, maybe she was born with it and by it I mean acute selective amnesia that disturbs her ability to remember any details of her monthly plastic surgeon visits and procedures. She was a cute girl in the original picture – where she was a finalist in the Gadis Sampul modelling competition – then she started experimenting. In the ‘in between’ picture, she actually looks good, a little sex bomb/blow up doll-ish, but good. The last picture is when she got all wild and forgot she was 100% pure Indonesian who would never have been born with a caucasian looking nose. Also, her luscious lips are gone. Why she would prefer thin unexciting lips is beyond me, I myself am a big fan of the luscious lips a la Angelina Jolie though not the trout pout, especially not duck lips.
I don’t think I am getting one any time soon, and even if I do, it certainly won’t be to change the way I look. I am quite happy with my face – not so much with my body, but that’s besides the point. However – with me there is always a but somewhere – when I hit 40 I might have some work done, just to improve some stuff, and not to change anything. I will also try not to be a plastic surgery junkie like these two:
This is Mickey Rourke a.k.a sexy actor who starred in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man and guest starred in several episodes of My Dreams. He used to be so sizzling hot, and now he looks like a sad character out of “The Island of Dr. Moreau”
This monster formerly knows as not-so-bad-looking-lady is Jocelyn Wildenstein, a socialite obsessed with plastic surgery she reportedly had more than USD 3 million worth of procedure on her face. She started having work done when her millionaire husband replaced her with a younger model. Moral of the story, marry a millionaire, poison him daily so he will not leave you for anyone but God, and only, ONLY when you are sure he will leave everything to you. Then you can go crazy with the plastic surgery.
Finally, I will end this post with: Plastic surgery? Good. Plastic surgery up to leaving you looking like your dogs dinner? Not good.
ps: For those of you who insist Krisdayanti is beautiful, look at this picture of her. She looks good only when airbrushed etc, this one was candid and shows how scary she really looks.

Aren’t we blessed to be born with beautiful faces, Rimes?
I cannot imagine being Jocelyn and waking up every morning and upon looking in my own reflection, I see dead people .. no, no, I mean I see a monster staring back at me! Ieuw what the hell was she thinking.
Plastic Fantastic! I wonder whether those plastic surgery fans have an identity crisis, especially Krisdayanti. Don’t recognize here anymore, she’s a living plastic doll. What a shame..
first things first, i have NO IDEA who these local celebs are with the exception of krisdayanti.
secondly, i honestly think indonesian celebs wear WAY TOO MUCH MAKE UP. it’s fuckin caked on like an inch thick. nasty shit.
what would i do? milk this mug for all it’s worth before i turn into a wrinkled pussy.
i never thought mickey rouke was hot… and now, he’s just beyond help.
oh god the cat lady.. oh god *barfs*
Oh Rima, you beat me on this. I was about to write about the plastic surgery thingy after reading an article somewhere.
Great pics by the way. I think Bella didn’t have anything on her eyes, it’s simply make up tricks and lots and lots of fake eyelashes.
(psstt: I can fwd you the recent pic of KD without any make up on. And she doesn’t look like your pic, so I doubt she’s had any major thing done.)
Who the hell is that lady with humongous lips???????????????????
Btw there’s a local celebrity pair here (well they broke up already) named Erik and Anni. Let’s say that they’re huge fan of plastic surgery and I don’t know if Anni ever looks at herself in the mirror these days…sometimes you wonder if your definition of beautiful is the same with others
I was gonna post about something within this topic too but it’s just way to much now.
If it’s so easy for girls to get plastic surgeries, how do guys know which one is real and which one is not? And does it matter? Do they care?
Rob, GJ, Colson… need your answers please lol
wekekeke..mba ini komentatornya cewe cewe semua..
OOT dikit mba,
here in my uni, we have a professor who ever since she was born, had problem with her looks. so since she was a child they have made several plastic surgery on her face. but it wasn’t good and now, she looks terrible.
but she is so good in her field (medical biology). in fact she just received a national award. so she’s so famous here. i believe she is just tired of plastic surgery now. anyhow, her life is so useful with whatever she look like. probably a lot more useful than them who are physically said to be more beautiful then her, malah.
you can actually see her pic here. http://www.nrk.no/contentfile/file/1.1397151!img1397086.jpg
A good one, Rim! I love your post…
Honestly, I like KD not because she’s pretty or sexy but simply due to her music.
She’s got huge talent and for me she’s the real Diva.
It’s all because she’s lost some weight and that’s why she looks prettier.
I don’t think that she’s done any plastic surgery, don’t know my feeling said so..LOL…(sorry)
Actually I saw her one time coincidently somewhere, though she did not wear any make but she’s truly pretty
Anyway, I don’t care…LOL..I still love you Rim.:-)
@Therry: Yes, I am blessed.. grateful, that’s why I look in the mirror all the time. lol
@Lorraine: I think they will have an identity crisis, and maybe some issues, mental issues. narcissism is one thought..
@lastlifeinmyuniverse: deb, these local celebs are enggak penting. lol But I do agree with you, they wear make up like drag queens..
yeah, if i were them id do the same too. milk it dry. but come on, mickey rourke not hot? i love this kind.. rugged, manly, handsome. throw me down on the bad and have his way with me.. wow.. down girl.. (25 days without husband does this to me. i know my libido is non existent, but my mind still has fantasies every now and then)
@Finally Woken: You can always write an article about this from another point of view. and get your photos from awfulplasticsurgeries.com
fwd me kd’s pic please, but she did have surgery. i know so.
@the writer: her name is jocelyn wildenstein, google her. i think she is in wikipedia.
nope, definition of beauty varies between each person.
@therry, again (lol): write it, come on.. there will never be enough articles about this topic, it’s very interesting.
I think guys dont mind plastic surgeries on women, as long as it makes them look good, not like a nightmare.
and yes, Rob, GJ, Tree, Lairedion, Colson where are you??
@M: iya nih, kalo topiknya ginian pasti komentator cewe..
In the case of your professor, it was a deformity she was born with, which rendered plastic surgery necessary for her. But then again, it’s what’s in her heart that counts. I feel sorry for her to have that kind of deformity, but I envy her mind.
@InesT: KD is very talented, I never said she wasn’t. But she did have plastic surgery, quite a lot of it. A indonesian singer friend of mine, who is married to another singer, and is in KD’s clique along with several other celebrities told me KD confessed to having surgeries, and that she did it for her husband. Apparently her husband is quite obsessed with her looking a bit eurasian/barbie dollish.
but hey, every man/woman has their own preference, and as long as they are happy, why not?
My point was just that she was pretty from the start, all of them needn’t have any surgeries (except Peggy Melati Sukma)..
first – just read ur blog today for the very first time, interesting point of views
second – OH MY GOD!!!! (for the last four pictures) .. that sucks! you spent thousand and maybe million dollars and in the end .. that’s what you get? ..
third – nice reading your blog
Hi Rima
Just for honorable mention you may want to have a look at this.

Its actually pretty amazing what plastic surgeons can do doncha think?
Plastic surgery gone awry case of male Indonesian “celeb”: Guruh Soekarno Putra.
Usually women in my dreams were bliss. This post, no I mean these pictures, cause nightmares. It nights will never be the same again.
I can sue you for serious damage to my happiness.
Plastic surgery no way!!
“well, if done right, it’s ok actually. It’s the people that go overboard that scare me.. “
