I have been watching the complete five seasons of Six Feet Under in the past month and let me tell you something, Six Feet Under is by far the BEST GODDAMN DRAMA SERIES I HAVE EVER SEEN! And I have seen a lot, so you have to trust me on this.
You might already know I am a serious TV Show nut, that I prefer to watch TV Shows to movies and that I have watched a large number of TV shows over the years. Today I will make a list of shows that I have watched in the order of 1 being the best and so on. Oh btw, I’m feeling much better and am working again today.
These are my favorites – and by favorite I mean I have watched every single episode and am somewhat obsessed by them. For the old shows, although I’m not obsessed with them anymore, I was utterly obsessed with them at the time.

15. A tie between Fawlty Towers, Friends and Gilmore Girls
16. A tie between Happy Days, Married with Children and The Jeffersons
17. Las Vegas
18. The Love Boat
19. M*A*S*H
20. Tour of Duty
21. Macgyver
22. A tie between The X files, Twilight Zone and The Practice
23. Related
24. Wiseguy (was in love with Ken Wahl)

Then there are series several (or one) episodes of which I watched but I then decided that it wasn’t worth my time or just wasn’t something I was interested in (I do have better things to do err.. sometimes) like: Angel, Bionic Woman, Chuck, Ghost Whisperer, Hex, House, Psych, Pushing Daisies, Reaper, Saving Grace, Sophie, Tru Calling, Flight of the Concorde and the Sarah Silverman show.
There are several new and old shows I haven’t had the time to watch but I plan to do so the minute I have time. These series are: Boston Legal, Carnivale, Cane, Damages, Deadwood, Dollhouse, Rome, Tudors, Firefly, Flashpoint, In Treatment, Generation Kill, the West Wing, Jericho, October Road, Oz, Point Pleasant, The Mentalist, Merlin, Rescue Me, Shark, The Shield, Sleeper Cell, Stylista, My own worst enemy, Lincoln Heights, Kath and Kim, Life on Mars, Eleventh Hour, Raising the Bar, Testees, The Unit and The Wire (to check new/fall shows click HERE)
As you can see, watching TV Series is a serious hobby of mine, and I have even gone as far as influenced my husband who originally did not really like TV shows to become a somewhat TV buff like me. We enjoy so many series together, and it’s one of the things we do when we have time off to just kick back and relax.
So, which of these are your favorites? Or maybe you like other shows that are not in my list?

My faves but not on your lists :
-sport channel (English Premier League, tennis).
-cooking channel : Iron Chef, Gordon’s Ramsay Kitchen Nightmare, Throwdown with Bobby Flay.
-discovery channel, planet animal

Hey I am a tvaholic as well and just wanted to mention that you may want to watch Jericho soon. It is my number 1 fav show and you might just find that you love it as well.
I have watched a good portion of the shows that you mentioned but my list would be totally different on some of them.
Keep enjoying your tv watching.
“I will watch it soon. I had doubts because so many people say it’s good, but many also say it’s not. But I will watch it soon.”
MacGyver is one of my favourites. Wwalking in the jungle he says: “We need explosives”. And behind the next tree, all of a sudden a box full of dynamite. And what about preventing a nuclear explosion with the alu foil of chewing gum? You can’t beat that. Dukes of Hazard was also cool, which healthy young stud didn’t fall in love with Daisy Duke? But nothing compares to the A-Team, still going strong over lots of channels. B.A. Baracus my all time hero.
Of late I particularly like Las Vegas, a beautiful shot series with bright colors and easy storylines. Season one of Prison Break was good fun and Heroes also rocks.
Now I’m obsessed with Miami Ink on Discovery. And my sick mind draws me to shows like Air Crash Investigation, Seconds from Disaster and Sexcetera.
“I know!! I used to have such a HUGE crush on Macgyver! I actually ran into him when I was living in new york. he looks so much better on tv. lol
I watched a bit of the A team, but I don’t really like it. I liked Miami Vice better.
Las Vegas is so good! I love Ed!!!!
I watch sexcetera too with mr. husband. But I don’t watch it anymore since I’m all alone. It’s rather depressing if you watch it all alone. *winks*”
So glad that you come up across to Six Feet Under. This is definitely the best TV show ever. The stories are just so amazing. The characters are so complex and just stand out among all the characters that ever invented by television. My favorite character is Brenda Chenowith which played so amazingly by Rachel Grifiths who I didn’t know back then was from Aussie since she seemed has perfect american accent. Gosh, I feel like I have so many to say about this show since I am such a Six Feet Under die hard fan. This show is just different with any other drama on TV. Somehow, it’s more close to real life than any others. I also like how the producer of this show, Alan Ball, state that this show isn’t about death, but it is about life and death is part of life. Phewww… I better shut my mouth and get out of here because I like talk about this show so much, I’ll probably will keep rambling it nonstop.
“I love Brenda, but my favorites are David, Claire and Mom. But Brenda, Billy and Brenda’s mom are also awesome. I love them all. Even the guest stars. The show is so full of goodness.
Yeah, I really like Rachel Griffiths, she also stars in Brothers and Sisters and is really good there too!
I have been a big fan of Allan Ball since American Beauty. His new show True Blood isn’t bad, it’s no six feet under, but it’s not bad.. have you seen it mey?”
Well, than I have to come down to Brussels to accompany you watching Sexcetera.
“Sure.. don’t forget to bring the mrs with you..;)”
I haven’t see Tru Blood yet, but I wanted to see that too. More especially because I trust Alan Ball so I am sure it’ll be great too.
Oh, I have a suggestion for GREAT show that I think you should consider. It’s not from Alan Ball, but it’s from HBO. The show called Big Love with Bill Paxton. Tom Hanks is the producer of the show. This one also AMAZING. I must say that HBO never disappointed me.
Oh, I change my mind, I BEG to PPPLLLEASE give this show a chance….!!!
Okay, gotta go
“Girl, didn’t you see my list? Big Love is there!! I watch it because of Chloe Sevigny. I love her! And yeah, it is also a really good drama. Funny, too, in a sad pathetic kinda way.. lol”
McGyver was the primary reason I didn’t go out to play with my friends on Monday evenings
While my current fave is My Name is Earl(Nadia V. is damn hot :p) Star Trek TNG is also in my all time list together with Raven. I also like a few of those other series in your very very long list ;p, specially the one with Jerry O’Connell in it(anyone watched Car Pooling yet?). Lately I’m also into Miami ink and LA ink(gorgeous ladies and tattoos are hot). Those cooking series also very much enjoyable for me. Unfortunately I don’t have the energy to follow those abundant tv series too much though.
No problemo, ibu Rima anu geulis.
“nuhun kang lairedion…”
@Miedy –
Haha! Somehow I missed that
*re-read the list again* You’re really a TV show nut
Take care!
“yeah, i am. it’s frightening, isn’t it?
”
My God woman! Where do you get the time?! TV here is crap, even with cable. I’m restricting my watching to True Blood, BSG and 90210 (I am such a Donna). None are on TV here, so it takes some creativity. If I need cheering up, I put on The Nanny. Love the Lucille Ball style humour.

“Are you watching the old 90210? There’s a new one, a remake. Have you seen it?”
Rim, suka reality show The Amazing Race dan Survivor gak? Either gak ada di list atau kelewatan lihat saking banyaknya judul serial di atas LOL

“Gak, belon pernah nonton amazing race? katanya bagus ya? dia kan berapa tahun berturut2 menang primetime emmy terus, tapi entah kenapa gw belon sempet liat.. nanti deh gue coba bbrp episode..”
Ember, menang Emmy terus tuh Rim. Coba deh lu tonton, seru banget! Tauk deh skrg dah season berapa.
actually, yes, Rangerette reminds me of a show you didn’t mention (unlikely, but true) – Jericho is a LOT of fun and i can’t wait for the next season.

“Jericho has been cancelled, I think after just one (or two?) season. Just like journeyman. But a lot of people say jericho is not a good show. I still have to see for myself though..”
Loved Six Feet Under [cough] Brenda’s a bitch [cough] David’s so adorable, thus I ended up loving Dexter too.
Have you seen LOST? Or Deadwood (HBO). You must watch Deadwood, girl. Omg… you won’t regret it!
Diny´s last blog post..Weird Injuries
“Nooo i haven’t watched either. but deadwood is like a western right? i dont like westerns… I watched lost for the first two seasons and then it just got boring and i couldn’t be bothered by it anymore..”
you were right to put Friday Night Lights in your top list. that TV show is awesome! =)
“IT IS!!!! I love it.. it’s really good!”
